Isaac vom Geistwasser

A BLOG about a DOG

Weekend Update

Sat

Took Isaac and Bethany out in the morning. Bethany got to call Isaac, click, and reward him for awhile. She got a bunch of Platz out of him. He ran one track (footstep about 100′). Played with the Kong in the front yard. Most of all I think Bethany felt more comfortable around him and Isaac was responsive to her.

Sun

Trip to the Schutzhund Club. Isaac spent the majority of the time in the crate, the only work he did was actually playing. Jen schooled me on how to play with my dog, I know you’d think it would be easy. Noah made the trip out with us and caught frogs and critiqued barking (I think Buster made him Shart).

Dog fine, Noah OK, Bethany not so good

  • Dog is onto boiled chicken mixed with Pumpkin, low fat plain yogurt, and low fat cottage cheese. Laid some logs this evening.
  • Noah is onto a piece of white toast, pedialite, and a popsicle. Stopped tossing his cookies about 9:00 AM or so.
  • Bethany got a suppository and some pedialite. Just stopped vomiting after getting the magic bullet.

I’m eating crackers and Jello though I’m thinking about going big and just cooking a pizza. Might as well eat well if your going to feel like crap anyway.

Noah heard me talking about DRIVE

Sorry for the intro, I couldn’t resist!

I don’t think Noah understood when he overheard me talking about developing drive……

Also I’m not sure why when youtube converted the video it got slowed down and lost the sound. I tried to rerender it an reupload it 4 or 5 times….slow motion will have to do! If anyone knows the perfect setting to render for youtube using Adobe Premiere Pro let me know (I seem to have lost them).

Rabbit Poop…

Isaac doesn’t seem to like the Royal Canin too much anymore and deffinately doesn’t dig the Canidae, but what he does love is Rabbit Poop. He still likes his crate, hopefully that doesn’t change. He also likes something in the concrete under my desk (there’s nothing there), must have been at some time.

Noah and Isaac ended up at odds this evening, right cheek (no not Isaac’s). Noah picked him up and was carrying him up by his face (after also laying on the floor yesterday and letting Isaac wrestle with him nipping at hair and ears, maybe it will be a life lesson to listen to me, probably not). Noah’s got a new set of rules and Isaac gets to drag a leash.

Sitz with Bethany at the table and Stella in the living room, consistently.

‘Look’ = eye contact is good if I’m sitting and there are not too many distractions (Stella, B, and Noah were at the kitchen table).

‘Leave it’ is a little better than Platz, but rabbit poo must be a strong drug. If I could use it to start him foot step tracking he’d be able to find the ark of the covenant!

Platz NOT (working that in isolation still)!

Toss it and bring it back is getting better, though he’s not too speedy on the go and get it yet. Maybe I should start tossing rabbit poop.
