10-30-2008 Training
Fuss up & Down center line with right turns each end
10 minutes with an hour of rest afterwords
Started with sit at attention (look) was in front of me after chasing geese off field
- Got to position next to me (lagging a little but is straight), ‘FREE’ & two hose from sitting next to me
He REALLY wants the HOSE - Consistently using the ‘FREE’ release word when he’s ‘done’
- Might be going to long before rewarding (went 30 paces right turn couple more paces then Reward)…should shorten that up
- Plan to keep using HOSES rather than food with Fuss for awhile
- Overall there is improvement on both our ends, he’s starting to get it and I’m getting a little better with my timing.

Worked another 5 minutes in the Evening
- Up and Back a couple of times (hoses only for reward) still seems more in drive than with kibble and since he had the runs this AM figured I better not try hot dogs
- Again it seems to be a little easier for me to manage with the hoses than luring with food
- He was coming across the front a little
